What I loved about this book is how Hetland provides healing strategies through deep spirituality, prayer, and personal reflection. It’s incredibly comforting and uplifting, especially for those working through past hurts. This one’s like a warm hug for the soul.

  • The Ultimate Self-Care Arsenal: Your New Best Friends!

The Ultimate Self-Care Arsenal: Your New Best Friends!

The Ultimate Self-Care Arsenal: Your New Best Friends!

    Hey, lovely ladies! 🌟

Self-care helps us greatly in so many ways.  Let’s be real, we all deserve a little pampering. Whether you’re a busy mom, a boss babe, or just someone who loves to binge-watch Netflix in sweats (no judgment here!), I’ve got a lineup of tremendous treasures and lotions that will have you feeling like the queen you are. So grab your favorite beverage (it’s always coffee time), and let’s dive in!

    1. Self-Care Lume Bath wash: The Freshness You Didn’t Know You Needed

The ultimate all over self-care… First up, we have Lume Bath wash. Now, I know what you might be thinking: “Bath wash? Really?” But hear me out! This isn’t just any bath wash; it’s like a party for your skin! With Lume, you get to cleanse yourself while smelling like a delicious treat—think cookies or fresh flowers, not gym socks or taco meat.

And the best part? It’s pH balanced, which means you won’t feel like you’ve just walked through a desert after your shower. Trust me, your skin will thank you, and you’ll feel fresher than a daisy! Plus, you can strut around feeling like you just stepped out of a luxurious spa instead of your tiny bathroom.  Even the unmentionables smell wonderful. =)

Woman in bathtub washing her face.

And on those days that include yard work, hikes, hot-sticky rooms with no air movement (and no time to shower): I keep this little friend on hand… Lume deodorant.  It comes in small travel size bottles.  I keep the travel size containers close at hand.  Big bottles stay in my house.  We can’t go wrong with these!  I smell fresh for days.

    2. Pampered Nivea Firming Cream: Because Gravity Is Not Our Friend

Another great self-care remedy, next on the list is Nivea Firming Cream. Let’s face it, as we age, gravity becomes a real buzzkill. This cream is like a personal trainer for your skin, minus the sweat and awkward gym encounters. Packed with ingredients that actually work, it’ll help firm up all those areas.

    woman pouring lotion into hand

Just a little dab, and you’ll feel like you’re getting a mini lift without needing to book a flight or break the bank. So go ahead, slather it on and strut confidently like you own the place! (Bonus points if you do a little hair flip.)

    3. Self-Care – Castor Oil: For Lush Lashes That Could Stop Traffic

Self-care quickly is the name of this game.  Ladies, if you’re looking to take your lashes to the next level, let me introduce you to the wonder that is castor oil. Yep, that’s right! This treasure is not just for your grandma’s homemade remedies. Just a little swipe on your lashes before bed, and you’ll wake up with lashes so long and luscious they could make even the most famous Instagram models envious.

    Eyelashes

And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to bat those lashes and get a little extra attention? Just remember to apply it sparingly—no one wants to accidentally give off a “spider legs” vibe!  I also rub the extra into areas of my body that are a little too “jello jiggly.”  The Castor Oil helps firm and tame stretch marks as well.  Bazinga!

    4. Self-Care Apple Cider Vinegar: The Bloating Buster

Lastly edible self-care, let’s talk about the sometimes-awkward topic of bloating. If you’re like me, you sometimes feel like a balloon after a heavy meal. Enter apple cider vinegar, your new best friend in the battle against bloat!

    apple cider vinegar for bloating

A splash in your water (preferably not straight from the bottle unless you enjoy the taste of vinegar—bless your soul if you do) can help you feel lighter and more comfortable. I fill up a glass of water about half way full, add a splash of Apple Cider Vinegar, and add a few drops of Young Living’s  Vitality Lemon Essential Oil.  It helps it taste better.  The lemon is great for the kidney’s.  Winner!  Winner!

     Product Wrap-Up

So there you have it—your self-care arsenal ready to tackle whatever life throws at you. With Lume Bath wash for freshness, Nivea Firming Cream for a little lift, castor oil for those jaw-dropping lashes, and apple cider vinegar to keep the bloat at bay, you’re all set to conquer the world!

Now go on, treat yourself, and remember: self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential. You deserve it, darling! 💖

How to Cultivate Resilience: 5 Tips for Emotional Strength in Women

Hey there, fabulous ladies of the internet! If you’re here, you’re probably juggling a hundred different things, battling life’s curveballs, and somehow still managing to look fierce while doing it. Kudos to you! But let’s be honest—sometimes it feels like the universe is out to get us. Whether it’s the boss who thinks you’re a superhero, the endless to-do lists, or that unruly hair that just won’t cooperate, life can throw a lot at us. So, how do we keep our cool and stay resilient when everything feels like it’s spiraling out of control?

Well, buckle up, because we’re diving into the art of cultivating resilience. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t involve any weird rituals or eating kale (unless you actually enjoy kale, in which case, carry on). Here are five down-to-earth tips to help you build emotional strength and keep your head high.

    1. Embrace Your Inner Diva: Self-Care Is Not Selfish

Let’s set the record straight: self-care is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Yet, how often do we ignore our own needs while trying to juggle everything else? It’s like trying to bake a cake without flour and then wondering why it’s a disaster.

Tip 1: Schedule regular “me time” into your calendar. This isn’t just about spa days or Netflix marathons (though those are wonderful). It can be as simple as reading a book, going for a walk, or enjoying a cup of coffee in peace. It’s about finding moments to recharge and connect with yourself.  See these posts for more ideas: Favorite Sleep Routine and 5 Products That Ease Anxiety.

Imagine you’re a smartphone. If you run out of battery, you stop functioning. Same goes for you! Regular self-care helps you stay charged and ready to tackle life’s challenges with the vigor of a caffeinated squirrel.

    2. Master the Art of Saying “No” Without Guilt

Ever found yourself overloaded because you just couldn’t say no? We get it; it feels like you’re letting people down, but let’s be real: spreading yourself too thin isn’t helping anyone.

Tip 2: Practice the art of saying “no” gracefully. You don’t need to explain yourself or come up with elaborate excuses. A simple, “I’m afraid I can’t commit to that right now” will do wonders. It’s like cleaning out your closet—sometimes you need to let go of things that don’t fit or are taking up too much space.

Remember, saying no isn’t about being unhelpful; it’s about prioritizing your well-being. Plus, every time you say no, you’re basically giving yourself a high-five. “Way to go, me! I’m not overcommitting today!”

    3. Surround Yourself with Your Cheer Squad

No woman is an island, and even the fiercest queens need their court. Surrounding yourself with supportive people can make a world of difference.  I pray Women Encouragement can be part of your squad.

Tip 3: Cultivate a network of friends who lift you up. These are the people who believe in your dreams, make you laugh until you snort, and are there for you when life gets tough. They’re like your personal fan club, minus the embarrassing merchandise.

If your current circle isn’t quite cutting it, don’t be afraid to seek out new connections. Whether it’s through hobbies, social groups, or just striking up conversations with the friendly barista, building a network of positive influences can be a game-changer. After all, we all need a little help from our friends, even if it’s just to remind us that we’re not actually crazy for binge-watching an entire season of reality TV.

    4. Develop a Sense of Humor About Life’s Curveballs

If life hands you lemons, make lemonade—or, even better, lemon meringue pie. The point is, finding humor in tough situations can be incredibly powerful. It’s like having a secret superpower that makes everything a bit more bearable.

Tip 4: Learn to laugh at the little things. Stuck in traffic? Imagine your car is an oversized spaceship. Missed an important deadline? Picture yourself as a superhero who’s just been sidetracked on a crucial mission. Humor can help shift your perspective and make challenges feel less daunting.

Plus, let’s face it: laughing at your own misfortunes is way more fun than wallowing in them. And if you can make others laugh along with you, even better! You’ll be known as the person who can turn a Monday morning into a comedy show, and who doesn’t need that in their life?

This humorous calendar from Amazon, might brighten your days: https://amzn.to/3MfpRRW.

    5. Embrace Growth Through Challenges

We’ve all had those moments when life feels like it’s coming at us like a freight train. But guess what? Challenges are like the universe’s way of giving us a little nudge to grow.

Tip 5: View challenges as opportunities for growth. Each obstacle is a chance to learn more about yourself and become stronger. Whether it’s dealing with a difficult project at work or navigating personal hurdles, remember that these experiences are shaping you into the amazing woman you’re meant to be.

When you approach challenges with this mindset, they become less about surviving and more about thriving. It’s like upgrading from a tricycle to a sleek sports car—suddenly, you’re cruising through life with confidence and style.

The book Daring Greatly by Brenee Brown may help you in this area!

    Conclusion

Cultivating resilience isn’t about being invincible; it’s about learning to bounce back and keep moving forward despite the bumps along the road. By embracing self-care, mastering the art of saying no, surrounding yourself with supportive people, finding humor in life’s mishaps, and viewing challenges as growth opportunities, you’ll build emotional strength and resilience like a pro.

So next time life throws a curveball, remember these tips and handle it like the empowered, resilient woman you are. And don’t forget to give yourself credit for every little victory along the way. Because let’s face it: you’re already doing an amazing job, and the world needs more of your fabulousness. Keep shining, ladies!

Feel free to share this blog post with anyone who might need a boost in their resilience game, and remember: you’ve got this! 💪✨

Title: Stress Busting 101: 4 Kickace Coping Strategies Every Woman Needs to Know

Title: Stress Busting 101: 4 Kick-ace Coping Strategies Every Woman Needs to Know

Hey there, ladies! Are you tired of stress knocking on your door like an uninvited guest at a party you didn’t even want to throw? Well, grab your favorite mug of whatever keeps you sane (coffee, tea, or maybe even a cheeky glass of whatever—we don’t judge!) because today, we’re diving into the wild world of stress management. Buckle up those seatbelts, because we’ve got four seriously awesome coping strategies that will have you saying, “Stress? Never heard of her!”

    1. Centered and present:

Let’s kick things off with a bit of centered, shall we? Present isn’t just for barefoot yogis chanting in the Himalayas—it’s for every boss lady hustling her way through the chaos of modern life. Picture this: you’re stuck in traffic, late for a meeting, and your inbox is exploding like a confetti cannon. Instead of letting that stress monster take the wheel, take a deep breath (or five), and bring your mind back to the present moment.

Mindfulness is all about being aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgment. So, when your inner voice starts screaming, “We’re all gonna die!” gently remind it that you’ve survived every Monday morning so far, and you’ve got this. Whether it’s a quick meditation session, a walk in nature, or simply focusing on the taste of that delicious lunch you’re having, mindfulness helps you hit pause on the chaos and hit play on your inner calm.

To accomplish this, try rubbing Young Living’s Grounding Essential Oil Blend on your wrists or at the back of your neck to experience a heightened awareness of your present circumstances.  It truly helps me stay focused, especially during meditation and times of self care.Grounding Essential Oil Blend that helps us be present/in the moment.

    2. Channel Your Inner Wonder Woman:

Okay, so maybe you don’t have a lasso of truth or bulletproof bracelets (if you do, we need to talk!), but every woman has a superhero inside her. When stress comes knocking, it’s time to unleash your inner Wonder Woman. Picture her stride as you power through your to-do list, deflecting negativity like it’s bullets bouncing off her shield.

One powerful way to channel your inner Wonder Woman is through exercise. Whether it’s kickboxing, stretching, or a good old-fashioned run, physical activity pumps those endorphins like nothing else. It’s like giving stress a one-two punch while saying, “Not today, buddy!” Plus, exercise isn’t just about fitting into those jeans—it’s about feeling strong, empowered, and ready to take on the world (or at least your inbox).

My “go-to” Wonder Woman fix is Valor Essential oil blend.  I apply some to my chest and wrists, making me feel so much stronger and well organized.  I especially wear this before IEP meetings, parent teacher conferences, and the like.  Try some today!

Valor Essential Oil Blend - brings bravery and peace.

    3. Laughter: The Best Medicine (and Stress Buster):

Whoever said, “Laughter is the best medicine” clearly knew a thing or two about stress. When life throws you lemons, sometimes you just have to squeeze them into a gin and tonic and laugh about it. Whether it’s sharing a meme that speaks to your soul, binge-watching your favorite sitcom, or having a girls’ night filled with belly laughs and questionable karaoke, laughter is like a magic spell that banishes stress to the land of forgotten worries.

So, don’t be afraid to embrace your inner comedian and find humor in the absurdity of it all. After all, if you can laugh in the face of a never-ending Zoom call or a toddler meltdown in the cereal aisle, you can conquer anything life throws your way.

Stress Away from Young Living Essential Oils is the best blend when it comes to bringing serenity now.  I used this every time I had all four kids cooped up in my van waiting at a fast food drive through.  It gave me instant relief!  In my blog post, I talk more about how Stress Away blend has helped me.

Stress Away Essential Oil Blend. I used to rub it on my nose to help me cope. True story.

    4. Treat Yourself Like Royalty:

Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about treating yourself like the queen you are. Stress often sneaks in when we neglect our own needs, so it’s time to break out the velvet robe and crown (metaphorically, of course) and give yourself the royal treatment.

Self-care isn’t just about bubble baths and face masks (though those are definitely encouraged!). It’s about setting boundaries, saying no when your plate is full, and indulging in activities that nourish your soul. Whether it’s curling up with a good book, taking a tech-free day to reconnect with yourself, or treating yourself to that dessert you’ve been eyeing all week, self-care is your secret weapon against stress.

Self-care is so wonderful.  After a self-care session, we can feel like new people!  I love Stress Away bath bombs for some royal treatment!  The other go to, that makes me skin feel like a queen is the ART Skin Care Collection.  Try it!  Once you use it, nothing else will do.  Thank me later!

    Conclusion:

So, there you have it, ladies—a crash course in stress-busting strategies designed to help you conquer the chaos with grace, humor, and a healthy dose of self-love. Remember, stress might be a persistent little bugger, but with mindfulness, a dash of laughter, and a whole lot of self-care, you’ve got everything you need to show it who’s boss.

Now go forth, unleash your inner Wonder Woman with Valor (ta he he), and let’s make stress history, one deep breath and hearty laugh at a time, and a heavy anointing of essential oils. You’ve got this!

And hey, if you found these tips helpful, share them with your fellow queens who could use a little stress-busting magic in their lives. After all, we’re all in this crazy ride together.

Until next time, stay fabulous and stress-free!  Stress Away.

With Young Living’s lineup of digestion-friendly oils, you can kiss indigestion goodbye and say hello to a happier, healthier gut. Plus, who can resist the temptation to add a drop of peppermint oil to their morning tea? It’s like a party in your mouth, with your gut as the VIP guest.

Ginger helps with nausea, digestion, and can aid in morning sickness if you happen to be preggo.

Our TummyGize is formatted for children and is great rubbed onto small belly’s or feet.  My kids actually tolerate this oil and even ask for it, which is rare.

Of course, no discussion about gut health would be complete without mentioning everyone’s favorite topic: poop. Yes, that’s right, we’re going there. But hey, let’s not be shy about it—after all, it’s a natural part of life. And with Young Living’s fiber supplements, you’ll be pooping like a champion in no time. Just think of it as your daily dose of digestive victory.

I love the MultiGreens in my smoothies!  It makes my smoothie richer.

The Daily Prebiotic Fiber is amazing, it tastes a bit citrusy.  It helps me immensely!  (TMI)?

Tangerine is great for when I’m really backed up.  I rub the oil down on my calves.  It is a real releaser (LOL)!

In conclusion, folks, gut health doesn’t have to be a serious, somber affair. With a little laughter and a whole lot of Young Living fortitude, you can navigate the twists and turns of digestive wellness with ease. So here’s to happy bellies, smooth sailing, and plenty of poop jokes along the way. Cheers to gut health, Young Living style!  Life is a gas (ta he he)!

    Favorite Sleep Routine

Woman sleeping. Favorite Sleep RoutineSleep routines help us achieve optimum rest.  I wanted to take a moment and share my favorite sleep routine with you.

When the planets align just right, and my kids are self reliant (a girl can dream, right?)… I can fulfill this routine.  It doesn’t happen every single night, but this is my goal.

    Shut It Down

First, for a good night’s sleep, I turn off my electronic devices two hours before I go to sleep.  For those two hours, I try to stretch, have some great talks with family members, and prepare for the day ahead.

    Bore Me

Secondly, I try to read a boring book.  Most self help books fit the bill.  I want to relax and not get over stimulated.

    Wash On, Wash Off

Thirdly, I shower.  Using lavender body wash and lotion is my favorite!  (Young Living sells excellent ones).  I try to relax and soak in the hot water.  After I shower, I spray magnesium spray on the bottom’s of my feet.

Afterwards, I apply either Veviter, Lavender, or Cedarwood essential oils to my feet.  Sometimes, if I still feel keyed up, I take a melatonin or two.Woman doing skin care after a bath or shower

    Bible Time

Fourth,  I lay in bed and read my Bible.  I want God’s Word to be the last thing on my mind.  It’s light’s out at this point.  As I fall asleep I try to set my gaze on Jesus.  I fall asleep thinking of his love for me.

This is when I pray.  I sure don’t pray long at this time.  Gratitude fills this time as I drift off to sleep, thanking Him for the day behind me.

    A Few Extras

Other things that give me a great night’s sleep are: my register fan that makes noise, my ceiling fan that keeps me cool, noise lessening/light blocking drapes, and my wonderful comforter that always keeps me the right temperature.  I keep the temperature in our house between 64-68 degrees year round.  Sleeping in cool temperatures helps me greatly.

What is your favorite sleep routine?   I will post Bible verses to pray over ourselves when we sleep soon.

If you need prayer for your sleep, please complete our Prayer Request Form.  Please comment too.  I love interacting with everyone!  You are loved.  You are cherished.  May deep sleep be yours!  Be blessed.
