    Can I Make Money From Home While Living a Holistic Lifestyle?

    What if your side hustle actually fit the life you’re trying to create?

    Maybe you’re interested in plant-based wellness, essential oils, cleaner products, reducing unnecessary chemicals in your home, or simply being more intentional about the products your family uses.

    And maybe you’d also like to make money from home.

    Those two goals don’t have to be separate.

    For me, one of the income streams I’m building is Young Living.

    Here’s why I think it can be an interesting side hustle for someone who already loves a more natural, holistic lifestyle.

    Make Money From Home: Sharing Products

    1. I Can Share Products I Actually Use

    This matters to me.

    I don’t want to spend my days trying to convince people to buy random products simply because they’ll pay me a commission.

    I’d much rather recommend something I already use and be able to say:

    Here’s what I like. Here’s how I use it. Here’s why you might like it too.

    Young Living has products that naturally fit into things I’m already doing at home.

    That makes sharing feel much more authentic.

    2. It’s More Than Essential Oils

    When people hear “Young Living,” they often immediately think of essential oils.

    But there is so much more.

    Young Living offers products for things like:

    • Household cleaning
    • Personal care
    • Supplements and nutrition
    • Essential oils and diffusers
    • Skin care
    • Oral care
    • Baby and family products

    That means I can replace products I’m already purchasing while also sharing some of my favorites with other people.

    If you’re already interested in a more natural or holistic lifestyle, that makes the business feel much more connected to your everyday life.

    3. I Can Build It Around My Life

    This is a BIG one for me.

    I don’t need a storefront.

    I don’t have to clock into another job every evening.

    I can create helpful content, answer questions, talk with customers, follow up with people, share products I love and build relationships from my phone or computer.

    That doesn’t mean it doesn’t require work.

    It absolutely does.

    But I like building income streams that complement my life instead of completely taking it over.

    4. There Are Different Ways to Earn

    Young Living Brand Partners can potentially earn in several ways through the company’s compensation plan, including retail sales, Fast Start bonuses and commissions based on qualifying sales volume as a business grows.

    But this is important:

    Young Living is not guaranteed income.

    Signing up doesn’t magically create customers.

    Like any business, you have to learn how to sell, find customers, follow up, serve people well and consistently do the work.

    Your results will depend on many factors, and not everyone who joins Young Living makes money.

    I think that’s important to say out loud.

    What About the 100 PV Requirement and Loyalty Rewards?

    Here’s something I think every potential business builder should understand before signing up.

    Young Living uses PV, or Personal Volume, as part of its monthly qualification requirements.

    For many commission and rank qualifications, 100 PV is an important monthly threshold. Some compensation categories have different requirements, so I always recommend reading Young Living’s current compensation plan rather than assuming every type of commission works exactly the same way.

    Young Living also offers Loyalty Rewards, which is its recurring-order program.

    For someone who genuinely uses Young Living products every month, Loyalty Rewards can be a convenient way to plan those regular household and wellness purchases while also receiving the benefits associated with the loyalty program.

    But here’s my personal rule:

    I don’t think you should spend money every month on products you don’t want or can’t comfortably afford just to chase a commission check.

    Look at what your household already purchases.

    Cleaning products. Personal-care products. Supplements. Essential oils. Wellness products. Skin care.

    Then ask yourself:

    Would I realistically use enough Young Living products each month for this to make sense for my budget and lifestyle?

    If the answer is yes, great.

    If the answer is no, that’s important information too.

    I’d much rather someone understand the business requirements before joining than discover them afterward.

    5. I Can Build Something That Matches My Values

    This may be my favorite part.

    I’m interested in building multiple streams of income.

    I don’t believe one magical side hustle has to solve everything.

    Young Living can be one income stream.

    Blogging can be another.

    Affiliate marketing can be another.

    Digital products, freelancing or other work-from-home opportunities can become others.

    My goal is to help women find income streams that complement their lives.

    And for someone who already loves holistic living, Young Living may be one of those options.

    Is Young Living a Good Side Hustle for You?

    Maybe.

    I don’t think it’s right for everybody.

    But it may be worth exploring if you:

    • Already enjoy natural or holistic living
    • Genuinely use products in this category
    • Love recommending things you enjoy
    • Want something you can build primarily from home
    • Enjoy helping and connecting with people
    • Are willing to learn sales and follow-up
    • Understand that businesses take time to grow
    • Are comfortable with the monthly qualifications required to earn certain commissions

    You don’t need to quit your job.

    And You don’t need to become a huge influencer.

    You definitely don’t need to chase everyone you went to high school with around Facebook.

    You can start small.

    Learn.

    Share.

    Serve people well.

    And build from there – especially using my Facebook Group method below…

    The End of the American Dream (And What Comes Next for Moms Like Us)

    The End of the American Dream? What could I possibly mean? I believe we were sold a lie.

    Work hard through high school. Get into a great college. Choose your life path before our brains were fully developed.

    Graduate with honors in our field. Work for the man for 40-50 years at the same company, in the same field.  (It sounds so monotonous).

    Some of our parents did it. A few were happy with it. Most that I was around seemed miserable. But still, we followed the American Dream set forth or American Delusion, however your perspective is.

    Many of us knew nothing else. But from the expressions on people’s faces as we commute to work, it looks like they are living more of a nightmare or at least an “Auto Mode Daze.”  Am I wrong?

    The American Nightmare?

    But the Numbers Tell a Different Story

    Today?  Only about 62% of high school graduates even go to college.  And of those who start… Nearly 40% don’t finish.  Almost half of the people who follow the “right path” never reach the finish line. What happens to them?  I hope they don’t all work at Panera forever (or any lifeless job for that matter).

    And Even If You Graduate…

    Here’s the part no one talks about:  Only about 30–40% of graduates actually start in a job in their field.  So what happens to everyone else? Oh no, not Panera (cringing face). Most pivot.

    They struggle, figuring out as they go. (I think of jobs like draining porta potties, digging ditches, etc.)…

    American’s are Burned Out?

    Meanwhile… People Are Burned Out

    Let’s talk about real life.  Only about 3 out of 10 people feel engaged at work.  Up to 70%+ feel disconnected, stuck, or just going through the motions

    Burnout?  It’s not rare anymore. It’s normal. No wonder the expressions on people’s faces as we commute.

    Consequently: So now we have: Women who did everything “right”… And still feel like something is missing. Boy, can I relate.

    Spending my life making other people’s dreams come true feels empty. Watching bosses bend etiquette. Experiencing undo rage from supervisors. Working hours at home just to squeak by the 40 hour grind on site (too heavy of a work load to fit the hours). It feels like a nightmare, not a dream.

    I don’t know about you, but I’ve worked jobs where I’m afraid to use the bathroom without being berated. Cancelling doctor’s appointments, missing kids events because of a boss who couldn’t handle the office alone. It was enough to give me some substantial gut issues without a decent pay to make up for the stress.

    So… Did the American Dream Fail?

    Not exactly. But it changed. The truth is:

    The American Dream didn’t disappear…
    it just stopped being handed out in a straight line.

    What Moms Are Starting to Realize

    More and more women are quietly asking:

      • “Is this it?”

      • “Why am I working this hard and still stressed?”

      • “What if there’s another way?”

    Not because they’re lazy. It’s because they’re awake.

    The New Dream Looks Different

    It’s not about one job anymore. It’s about:

    ✔ Multiple streams of income
    ✔ Flexibility
    ✔ Being present with your kids
    ✔ Not relying on one paycheck for your entire life

    It’s about building something that actually supports your life. Let’s be honest, unless you are in the upper echelon of a corporation, we just can’t survive on one full time job in America anymore, unless we have heavy debt or dual incomes.

    Organized for life? Is that even a possibility? I was reading a devotional like I do so often, and I felt God’s presence so powerfully as I read it.

    Organized: A Life Free of Clutter

    The most powerful life is the most simple life. The most powerful life is the life that knows where it’s going, that knows where the source of strength is, and the life that stays free of clutter and happenstance and hurriedness.

    Being busy is not a sin. Jesus was busy. Paul was busy. Peter was busy. Nothing of significance is achieved without effort and hard work and weariness. Being busy, in and of itself, is not a sin. But being busy in an endless pursuit of things that leave us empty and hollow and broken inside—that cannot be pleasing to God.

    One source of man’s weariness is the pursuit of things that can never satisfy; but which one of us has not been caught up in that pursuit at some time in our life? Our passions, possessions, and pride—these are all dead things. When we try to get life out of dead things, the result is only weariness and dissatisfaction.

    Organized: not just physically, but with time management too.

    My prayer is to make the most of each opportunity Jesus gives me (Colossians 4:4 NIV). I want to make sure my time management is a reflection of priorities.

    My priorities need to be Jesus first (Matthew 6:33), family, job, and ministry. I want to be intentional in how my actions are showing up in what I choose to do and how often.

    With time management, as a business owner; income producing activities are most important. I want to make certain, finances are coming in from almost every interaction I have if at all possible.

    Organized physically

    If our atmosphere is a chaos and clutter, we are much more apt to be distracted. How much time do we waste looking for items?

    When our workplace and or home are orderly, life feels more peaceful. A wise person told me to keep our atmosphere for who we are becoming, not for who we are currently. If you dream of being a successful CEO, then carry ourselves as such.

    I find that I can accomplish so much more in an atmosphere of order and not chaos. In orderly spaces, the distraction of piles, dust, and dirt are not around. For me, I can focus so much more!

    I find it fascinating that many people report that one of the first actions they took when getting to a higher level in life, was to clean up their homes and vehicles. Isn’t that wild?

    I believe this is because God is a god of order. He planned the world’s existence. Our God made sure each creation was named. Below are my favorite organizing products that are under $20.00. Download it below.

    Organized internally

    The greatest area of organization in my mind’s eye, is the order in our heart’s and minds. If those two areas are a free for all, life can feel so heavy, overwhelming, and even defeating.

    When we are intentional about keeping a clean heart and mind, we find freedom. God tells us in Proverbs 4, to guard our heart’s with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life.

    I pray often for God to create a clean heart in me, renewing His Spirit (in me) everlasting. Belief fills my heart that I walk in the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

    Whole. Healed, prosperous, and unshakably secure in your identity in Christ.
